麻疹

更新：

The VDH measles dashboard will be updated to show cases at the locality-level rather than the health district-level on the case map. The map will continue to include the same filtering feature to view cases by ‘Year to Date’, ‘Past Three Months’, and ‘Past Month’.   

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is reporting 10 additional measles cases since the July 7 measles dashboard update.  As of July 9, VDH is reporting a total of 177 cases of measles in 2026, with 154 outbreak-associated cases.

Severe Weather and Flooding

Virginia could potentially see flooding and severe weather today and tomorrow.

公共指南：

Thunderstorms can form quickly, bringing strong winds and dangerous lightning. Lightning can strike up to 10 miles from a storm. 

保持安全： 

  • 在暴風雨來臨前，修剪樹木並固定鬆散的戶外物品。 
  • 一有打雷或閃電的跡象就進屋，並帶寵物進屋。 
  • 遠離窗戶。

  • If you cannot get indoors, avoid water, tall trees, and metal objects such as fences or bleachers.  
  • If someone is struck by lightning, call 911 immediately. 

Floods are the most common disaster in the United States. Floodwater can contain debris, chemicals, and other hazards.
